On January 27, 2014 an American folk singer and activist Pete Seeger died at the age of 94.

Forgot to mention that I met Pete Seeger in 1997 while I was helping make a documentary at the Highlander Folk Center. He was, as you might expect, warm, kind and gracious, even to us (annoying) students.I guess what I didn't know at the time was just how important he and the others we filmed were to American history...and how much of a difference you can make if you work together.
