The Enormous Radio by John Cheever — Review

The short story “The Enormous Radio” by John Cheever tells about the ordinary family who lives on the 12th floor of an apartment building. One day, the radio in their apartment breaks down and they decide to purchase a new, experimental model of the radio.

To their surprise when, instead of music, they hear the conversations of their neighbors from the speakers … The story is written with a little humor and with a lot of sadness.
