Smith of Wootton Major by J. R. R. Tolkien — Review

The story “Smith of Wootton Major” by J. R. R. Tolkien has nothing common with the the plot of novel “The Lord of the Rings”.

Every 24 years, residents of the village organize a festival where a large cake is prepared. A star is hidden in an old tin box. The blacksmith's son Smith accidentally swallows a star and it turns out that the star is a magical object that changes the boy's life.
