Winter Cruise by William Somerset Maugham — Review

The already middle-aged Miss Reid, annually for the winter, went on a cruise on one of the cargo-passenger ships, which took passengers on board without presenting them with special amenities.

Being very sociable, she tormented the male crew of the ship with her banal conversations, which everyone found boring. The result was not quite the one they expected.
